The SML Annual Rockfish Tournament

The Way It Began...
In the Winter of 2002, Mike Ruby and Glenn Bogarde were sitting around taunting each other on who was going to have the better 2003 Spring season.  This competitive spirit then grew to other residents such as Kevin Farrell, Glen Obici, and others.  As the planning began for the small outing (4-5 boats), word began to spread throughout the neighborhood, turning out nearly a dozen neighborhood anglers for the first annual SML Rockfish Tournament.

The intent of the tournament has always been geard towards fun and is open to residents, their families and their friends...and guarantees a day full of fun for everyone!

Immediately following each tournament is the traditional weigh-in and awards picnic, which is open to the entire community - landlubbers too!  Tournament Prizes are awarded for the biggest Rockfish (Length), and most unusual or rare species.  If you are interested in participating in future tournaments (fishing, judging, hosting the picnic, etc), please contact Glenn_Bogarde or Mike_Ruby.  The tournament is limited to recreational sportsman only (sorry pros), and commercial charters are not allowed.
